My son didn't really do well in school until his junior year of high school. Before that, he didn't seem to take things very seriously, but after the college reps came in and talked with the students at the beginning of his junior year, he seemed to understand just how serious doing his best was. He and I have worked together to build this blog to help other kids figure out just home important doing well in school is before it gets to be too late. Maybe our experience can help your teen get a better understanding of what school now does for his or her future.
