Before joining the band, Joey began his playing career by playing guitar in his youth ministry’s worship band. After graduating high school, Joey began playing with various worship leaders around the Atlanta area. In the fall of 2004 Joey joined alongside Chris & the band and still today remains a vital part of this ministry. Joey and his wife, Katie have been married for 3 years and live in Newnan, Georgia. Though he is no good at it, Joey likes playing golf, along with hunting, shopping for music gear and buying vertically striped shirts. Joey says that his life verse is, "Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus”. -Philippians 3:12.
